What is Cash Insights?

Cash Insights is our new beta feature that consolidates data from your automatic bank accounts into a powerful, easy-to-access view in your Outmin dashboard. It's like having a bird’s eye view of your money, helping you make better choices for your business.

With Cash Insights, you get daily updates, dynamic reports, and the ability to drill down into the details, all in one place.

So, here’s what you can expect:

• Money In: See where your revenue is coming from. Whether it’s customer payments or other income streams, you can easily compare categories and dive deeper into specific transactions to see what’s behind the numbers.

• Money Out: Track every category where money is being spent. Identify which areas are eating into your budget and get a clearer picture of your spending patterns. Click deeper into a category to see exactly where the money’s going.

• Total Movement: Get an instant overview of the difference between your money in and money out. It’s the quickest way to understand where you stand financially at any given moment.

• Drill Down into Details: Cash Insights starts with two main buttons: Money In and Money Out. Click on either to see a list of categories showing where your money is coming from or going. Easily compare categories, and by clicking through, view the details of each one. Then quickly pinpoint payments and analyse spending. You can also select any date range for review.

• Data Visualisation: Spot patterns and trends using easy-to-understand charts. No more poring over spreadsheets with complex formulas — quickly check where money is coming in, where it's going out, and how flows change over time.

• Nightly Updates: With Cash Insights, your financial data is always up-to-date. The report is refreshed every night, pulling the latest information from your automatic bank feeds. This means you'll wake up every morning to a clear snapshot of your cash flow, giving you the confidence to make informed decisions with fresh financial data.

• Notifications for Disconnected Bank Accounts: If one of your bank accounts disconnects, we’ll send you a quick notification to alert you. You’ll still be able to access reports based on the last available sync, and this way, you’ll always have accurate data with minimal disruption.

• Transparency of Data Sources: To build trust and make sure you know where the numbers come from, we list all the accounts feeding into your Cash Insights report. This gives you a clear view of the sources, so you can easily check what’s included and confirm everything is accurate.

How Cash Insights Works

Cash Insights leverages data from customers' Outmin accounts. We pull a bank feed nightly for automatic accounts (via 3rd party Plaid integration).

Our AI models analyse and categorise this feed to provide a detailed breakdown of your money in and out for any given period. A human in the loop reviews the data to ensure everything is accurate and up-to-date, giving you the most reliable information!

The data is compiled into a user-friendly, dynamic report that lets you visualise and analyse your cash flow at all times.

Who Is It For?

Cash Insights is available to all Outmin hospitality customers at no extra cost. There’s no need to sign up or install anything new — simply log in to your Outmin dashboard, and you’ll find this exciting feature ready to use.

If you prefer managing your finances on the go, don’t worry. We’re rolling out Cash Insights for mobile in the upcoming weeks. You’ll soon be able to track your cash flow, review transactions, and access visual insights right from your phone.
